The Groninger Real Estate Club for Students & Professionals is founded in 2016 by the founding board members Thom Bode, Wolbert van der Haar and Roeland Strotmann. From within the University of Groningen master program Real Estate Studies there was an desire to establish a new organization for their students and alumni. Partly because an organization like ours is a requirement from the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) in order to obtain an RICS accreditation for the master program. Also to bring our students, bachelor and pre-master students from the Faculity of Spatial Sciences, alumni, the industry, the government and science together.
The purpose of the Real Estate Club is to strengthen the link between science, the industry, government, alumni, and (potential) academic students in the field of real estate in the broadest sense of the word. With the focus on both national and international scale, while also targeting the northern region of the Netherlands. Via the Real Estate Club academic students, alumni and professionals have a platform in the field of real estate and the possibility to bring science and practice together and to establish contacts and to meet up. In addition, the latest insights ('state of the art') will be discussed and shared on relevant topics within real estate and their application to different levels of scale in an interactive setting.
